What type RAM does my motherboad support?

Ok bassically i just bought a cheap machine because im doing a networking course and needed another. its 2.8Ghz but only 256mb RAM so i wanted to stick another 256mb in it, but one problem...

I CANT FIND ANY INFORMATION ABOUT MY MOTHERBOARD ANYWHERE ON THE NET WHAT SO EVER!!

So i dont know what type of memory/RAM my motherboard supports..

This is the information i have on it:

System Model
Gateway 2000 3260uk

Main Circuit Board
Board: Intel Corporation
Serial Number: TGSR50316893
Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
BIOS: Intel Corp. SR84510A.46T.0016.P07.0411290956 11/29/2004
(I think either SR84510A or SR84510A.46T.0016.P07.0411290956 is my motherboard)

Memory Modules
248 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'J6G1' has 256 MB (serial number D9E4C408)
Slot 'J6G2' is Empty

Click + next to computer then DMI then memory controller to get supported types, max module size, max number of modules click + next to motherboard then SPD to get memory speed,

lol thanks mate its a usefull program but it doesnt tell me what memory is compatable! just what memory i have in there

In summary it says system memory eg DDR SDRAM in DMI memory controller it say supported types eg SIMM DIMM SDRAM

oh ok!! mine is DIMM, i phoned up customer service and they told me its PC3200 DDR compatable.. so would that mean i can use any PC3200? like 200mhz or 400 mhz etc..?

Try crucial, either input the manufacturer or use their scanner

i did mate, scanner says it cant regosnise the pc and i go to manual and this model isnt there... haha thanx for that last software though mate its excellentttttttttttttttt!!

Not sure what's up with their site, anyway if you click the + next to motherboard then SPD it will say what's in there for memory speed, ask what you can have, also ask what the performance improvement will be if you go from 200 to 400mhz

I have a Dell Dimension 2300 and it has a reallly slow 128 mb in it, i have a PC100 stick will i be able to use it with the SDRAM PC133 thats in there?

you could use the PC100, but it will slow down the other stick to that speed.
PC133 is pretty cheap these days, would be better to pick up another stick of that.
