Im going to PC World and I wanted an expert opinion

They have Norton at half price, should I get that

I wouldn't get Norton

There are plenty of free AVs you can get online that are very good.

Avira is my preference, but Avast is also very good


Add MalwareBytes Anti-Malware into that and you would have very good protection

Its been known as a major resource hog and not effective at all against spyware and viruses. Avira on the other hand is extremely good at removing infections, especially new ones

Kaspersky is a good brand, but as Rorschach112 has said, there are some very good free AV's available.

I agree, Norton has degraded over the years.

I have cleaned a lot of computer viruses that had Norton on them.

Depending on how much you want to spend, i'd argue that NOD32 is the best, but it's expensive and you need to renew your license.
