Welcome bg24news to Geeks to Go!
It's not recommended to follow someone else's advise. That was writen for that specific computer and user. Let's make one for you! Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode. Please note: your Antivirus program may prompt you to a malicious script trying to run. Allow the entire script once. Please download VundoFix.exe by Atribune© to your desktop.
QUOTE Please type in the second filepath as instructed by the forum staff then press enter:

Set the program up as follows: Click "Options..." Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!" Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program. It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO. Run the Free use Panda Active Scan Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HijackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic. |

Still a bit in there.
We need to disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make. Open Microsoft AntiSpyware. Click on Tools, Settings. In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection. Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended). Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended). After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware. Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware. Reverse the process when you’ve carried out the advise. *** Download the Killbox version 2.0.0.473 . Unzip it to the desktop Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Place the following lines (complete paths) in bold in the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox, and click the red button with the white X on it after each C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\nnlij.dll For these files, put a mark next to "Delete on Reboot". Copy and paste each file into the file name box, then click the red button with the X after each. It will ask you if you want to reboot each time you click it, answer NO until after you've pasted the last file name, at which time you should answer Yes. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt. If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually. *** Open HijackThis Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake: O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {B313D637-F405-4052-AC37-E2119AB3C8F8} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkig.dll (file missing) Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis. *** Reboot back to normal mode. Rerun Panda and safe the report. Please post me the Panda report and a fresh HijackThis log to check. How are things now? This post has been edited by g2i2r4: Nov 15 2005, 06:27 AM |

Alrighty, I followed all your directions. Thank you again for your help.
However when I used KillBox there was nothing after I pressed the red X that asked me if I wanted to reboot every time. I just entered the path and clicked the X (nothing popped up).
