My roommate recently set up a new network with a new router (Buffalo). The old network with a linksys router worked just fine.
However, I found out that Windows 7 cannot connect to this new router. It recognizes the network and tries to connect, but fails. The network diagnostic didn't work. I tried unplugging the cable modem and waiting 10 seconds, restarting the router.. none of that worked. I'm running Windows 7 on a santa rosa Macbook Pro via bootcamp. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Windows 7 does not run very well on Bootcamp from what I have read. What build of 7 are you running?

Windows 7 has been fairly stable using boot camp. Most problems occur because of software compatibility, not because of the operating system.
I'm using the Windows 7 RC, build 7100. |

I mean as far as devices working properly, especially wireless networking.
Is there a specific failure message? |

oh ok. Yeah, I figured it was probably an incompatible router.
It just says failed to connect and directs me to the wireless diagnostics. |

Yeah I can connect fine in OSX. I'm gonna try to see if I can get the old router back, or a fw update on the new one. Thanks for your help.
