Windows Mail - Excel attachments

If I send an email with an excel attachment, it recieved by external recipients as a winzip file. But, if i send it internally it stays as excel. Please could someone tell me how I can stop it converting to winzip. (My operating system is Windows Vista 32bit)

this is not something on your end. It is either something with your mail provider or on the reciepents end. I would check with your mail administrator to see if there is something wonky going on.
