I'm running XP Home Edition and can't get either WMP9 or WMP11 to install. It gives me the following error every time I try and install either:

"Windows Media Technologies

This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more info, visit the Microsoft webpage yada yada yada."

Any suggestions?

Hi Skeeter75 and Welcome to Geeks to Go!....

The solution might be rather simple, navigate to C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and copy wmploc.dll to C:\Windows\System32. Now, run the WMP installer again and see what you get.

Let us know!
