whenever i view an image through Windows Photo Gallery (there by default) the screen takes a yellow hue. if i view the image with another program, its fine. What the... is happening?

i'm seeing some references (Here's one) to an orange caste in pictures etc.. with photo gallery...some are pointing to a driver issue but the rest mention a screwed up color profile and possibly modifying that or deleting what's there...not sure which is the right option...but i'm still looking
