You can try reinstall the Search Assistant:
Control Panel / Folder Options, View tab. Select "Show hidden files and folders". Click on Apply then OK. Right click C:\Windows\Inf\srchasst.inf (not .PNF) then click Install. The required files are on the XP CD or the C:\I386 folder on your hard drive if it's been placed there. |
