Windows XP shutting down, Anyone have any idea??

OS: windows xp



Installed Windows XP Pro on recently built pc and once online to update windows, the sytem shuts down with the error message: c:windows\system32\lsass.exe and with the extenstion of 1073741819...can anyone tell me what the problem is with this.

Hi,

I have seen a virus cause this problem, though it could be a number of other things. Lets try running the following scans at the link below first. Have them remove what they find (If anything). If you are still having that problem, post back, and we will try some other things. smile.gif
