Ok then from the picture everything is working correctly. Are you online with the system now?

The problem seems to be with Device Manager itself.
Try the following and let me know if it works.


Please Go to
    1: STARTand the click on RUN
    2: Type in devmgmt.msc
    3: Click Enter
    4. Look for any entries with Yellow Exclamation ! marks or Red X's

Yeah I am on my home interenet connection so the connection itself is fine, but I just can't view the status of my livebox/modem for some reason. I don't think that poses to much of a problem though as there are no error messages popping up or anything.

I tried the device manager and I'm still getting that the webpage cannot be displayed.

OK i would suggest talking to your ISP then.
Let them know what we have done and that this problem has just started.
They should be able to tell you how to check the status.

Ok tried phoning my ISP and they were utterly useless! laughing.gif

Suffice to say I managed to get a few things sorted myself. I deleted all internet and network stuff (as per my ISP request) and then spent the next couple hours panicing as the [bleep] pc wouldn't then reinstall the internet via the ISP disk. Eventually it did though. The deivce manager still wouldn't play ball so in a fit of rage I stuck the windows disk in and did a repair windows. Low and behold this seems to have worked and as you can see my device manager is back to normal! yeah.gif

All I need now is some help with getting the audio working and the other question mark thingy......

    Download and install Free Everest Home Edition
    Open it.
    1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
    2: Click once on Summary
    3: In upper menu, go Report
    4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
    5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
    Click the + by computer, click on Sensor. Get a screenshot and post it so I can check your temps and voltages...


DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING UNDER THE LINE THAT SAYS "DEBUG- PCI"

Go to Device Manager and then click on the tab named Device Drivers

Disable microsoft UAA bus driver ...
Uninstall UAA bus driver

Install realtek HD driver and it should now work.


If this doesn't work then what you would need to do is to repeat the first steps and then reinstall the chipset drivers for the MOBO.
Then reinstall the sound drivers for the MOBO.

Ok I uninstalled the Microsoft UAA Bus and then clicked your link. Once I've ticked I agree and then click next it takes me to a page saying object moved here and when I click HERE it takes me straight back to the first page again!

Whats MOBO??

cheers.gif have a beer.gif on me....It worked and we have sound back again, thanks so much for your help.

Now the darned thing won't install an update....I keep getting the yello shield coming up so I click on it and get it to express intstall the updates...it then tells me the updates are installed and 5 minutes later the damned yellow shield is back again. Its two updates and they are KB971486 & KB956572 is there still something wrong with my pc?

Then it should work without asking over and over.
