Windows XP won't load, lsass bad image message; wldap32.dll not valid

OS: Windows XP
Hello - I have Windows XP at home and out of nowhere it won't load. I get the Windows XP splash screen and then immediately get "lsass bad image" and "The application or dll C:\windows\system32\wldap32.dll is not a valid windows image." Any idea what's happening here??? headscratch.gif

OS: Windows XP Pro with SP2
It seems that the file has been corrupted. Get it restored via XP installation media recovery option.

OS: Windows XP Pro with SP2
First try to restore only dll. If this doesn't seem to be working, then re-installing windows over the current installation must work.
