I have been cleaning up my system with symantec and spybot S&D, but now when I run Ad-aware 2007 I get the blue screen saying windows has been shut down, etc. The tech info it gives is STOP 0x0000008E (0xC0000005,0x804DE9A4, 0XF423BCF0, 0X00000000). Here is my hijack this log: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 12:58:11 PM, on 3/3/2008 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINNT\System32\smss.exe C:\WINNT\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINNT\system32\services.exe C:\WINNT\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINNT\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINNT\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINNT\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SPBBC\SPBBCSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 2007\aawservice.exe C:\WINNT\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate\ALUSchedulerSvc.exe C:\WINNT\System32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINNT\system32\HPZipm12.exe C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus\SavRoam.exe C:\WINNT\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\PROGRA~1\SYMANT~1\VPTray.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SUPERAntiSpyware.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\Program Files\Verizon Wireless\V CAST Music\V CAST Music Monitor.exe C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe C:\WINNT\system32\wuauclt.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\WINNT\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\windows\system32\blank.htm R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\windows\system32\blank.htm R3 - URLSearchHook: AOLTBSearch Class - {EA756889-2338-43DB-8F07-D1CA6FB9C90D} - C:\Program Files\AOL\AOL Toolbar 2.0\aoltb.dll F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINNT\system32\userinit.exe,C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\mtssc.exe, O2 - BHO: (no name) - {429D5F32-9571-403B-ADD1-26F293FADD67} - C:\WINNT\system32\awtqp.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {B3ADDB7B-3DF5-4672-82DD-775FFF180134} - C:\WINNT\system32\cbxwxxy.dll (file missing) O3 - Toolbar: Yahoo! Hello creekr
Welcome to G2Go. ===================== Please download ComboFix from Here to your Desktop. **Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply back. My computer's not the only one that's been sick this week.
Before posting the combo rpt and hijack this, I want to add that I am getting two error loading boxes popping up on reboot. It can't find C:WINNT/system32/ykvmnttn.dll and C:WINNT/system32/odpf.abf.dll. I don't know if I even need these dll files, but I'd like the error message to quit popping up. Here's the combo log ComboFix 08-03-14.4 - The Rotroff Family 2008-03-20 14:45:03.2 - NTFSx86 Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600.2.1252.1.1033.18.244 [GMT -4:00] Running from: C:\Documents and Settings\The Rotroff Family\Desktop\ComboFix.exe Command switches used :: C:\Documents and Settings\The Rotroff Family\Desktop\CFScript.txt * Created a new restore point WARNING -THIS MACHINE DOES NOT HAVE THE RECOVERY CONSOLE INSTALLED !! Also delete\uninstall anything that we used that is left over. ============================================== After that Your log is clean. Just a quick question. When I ran Kaspersky and it showed some viruses present, I didn't delete anything... just posted the log as you requested. Was I supposed to delete the files it detected?
I'm going to run adaware now and see if I get the shutdown anymore. I really appreciate all your help. |

The things in the Kaspersky log are in your Norton Quarantine folder that I asked you to empty.
Also the other files detected were in the Combofix quarantine folder named Qoobox. It was deleted when we uninstalled combofix. |
