Hey there all,
Im having a few problems with wine and Call of duty 2. Its installed fine, dunno much about setting up the DX files for it. Problem: After trying to run CoD its starts but all i get is a black screen, thing is tho i here all the .bik files in the back round playing. i can hear all the sound and so on but i can't interact with anything at all, cant stop the game cant click on anything. there was this one time that the top bar (program title bar) dissaperd and i started cod and it showed up. thing is tho, it was half way down the screen so i could only see the top half. soo any ony one got any good tips on getting it to work properly? Just to add Linux Distro is Mandirva 2008 and the newest version on Wine Thanx in advance Scribbles |

Are you using the Mandriva version from the Repository or the one from WineHQ available Here?
You Might want to look at Play It On Linux. I haven't gotten it to work on Debian Etch but then again I don't game so it's not high on my priority list. |

The Wine files is from WineHq this one wine-0.9.60-mdv2008.1.i586.rpm
And il take a look at the link you posted bit busy atm, in college will check it when i get home. And gaming for me is a priority, but id rather use linux. |

You could also look at Cedega (they are a paid service though). I've had some success with them back in the day when I was playing WoW.

Yeah ive seen there program, looks good but it a pay as you go service sorta thing
if it was a one of payment i would. |

you could also look at codeweavers... they now have more than just crossover office.... They do have a game flavor as well!! don't know much about it just saw it on their site a while back...( as you I'm rather busy and havent' had time to give it the time it deserves to check out )
