I am working on an index for work, and my boss is insisting that the index reflects the chapter and the page number, i.e. Blah Blah..................5-12, 5-13.

I cannot find ANY info on the option of doing this anywhere. helpsmilie.gif Does anyone know if it's an option?

We are going to need to merge them into one master index for multiple chapters, so they have to indicate which chapter the page # is from.

Thanks!!

I have not tried this myself however, what I believe you need to do to achieve this is to first include the Chapter number with the Page number in the Header or Footer.

Try this link for info on how to set this up. I would suggest that you try this on a copy, just in case. wink.gif

Please let us know if this assists you with your problem.
