Everything looks pretty good except for the Video card. At a minimum get an 8800GT. 8600GT is not really good for gaming.

Here is a rough estimate
8600GTS<7900GS<x1950pro<HD3850<8800GTS 320mb<8800GTS 640mb=HD2900XT<HD3870<8800GT<8800GTX<8800Ultra The placing of the 8800GTS and HD2900XT are debatable, it varies under a number of circumstances. I would say at a minimum HD3850, it's about as good as budget gaming comes right now. The power supply has to go, what is your budget for power supplies? This leaves $100 or so for the monitor, which is probably not going to get you a fantastic one in a large size, but currently I just finished building a new gaming tower and decided to get better bits inside, I'm going to start saving and upgrade my monitor later. Gaming on my 17" LCD is fine for me If you currently have a monitor, I would keep it and save. I wouldn't really recommend cutting down any of those parts any further, especially if you are interested in playing future games  Comments, anyone?
