Hi,

I'm trying hard to setup a working sharing network between my XBOX360 and my PC. But so far, I am not able to make it work.

SETUP:
xbox 360
router netgear wgr614 (using cables, not wireless)
pc with xp sp2
widnows media player 11

TESTED:
- I was able to connect to internet with xbox 360
- I was able to connect to internet with PC
- I disabled all firewalls on PC (I usually use Zonealarm - but since I can't make the connection work, I thought of disabling it during the tests)
- On xbox360, I click on TEST MEDIA CONECTION. Networks says WIRED and IP CONFIRMED but PC SELECTED FAILED. This is where I am stuck pretty much.

In Media Player 11, I activated Sharing. When the XBOX 360 is ON, I can see it in MP11. I click on XBOX 360 icon and I would like to click on ALLOW, but the ALLOW is greyed out. Somehow, I cannot click it.

I tried disabling MP11 and I installed ZUNE. I share the content on ZUNE and I click allow all xbox 360. To no avail... My consolde still does not see my PC>


Any ideas?

I finally found the problem. Simple: I was not looking in the right place in the Xbox 360 tabs. Long story short: with XP running without Media Center, simply go in the MEDIA tab and click on VIDEOS (or music) and select the computer.

Simple.... I should have read the complete instructions. Silly me.

The same thing is happening with me.
