Hi Stepold54. Welcome to the forum. That error could indicate your PC has a malware infection. I suggest you install the free 'HijackThis' and post it's log here: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Malware-Rem...o-Here-f37.html

You canget HijackThis here: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php#hijackthis

You may want to read the 'pinned' posts on that forum if you want more info on using HijackThis, but don't try to analyse the log-file yourself. Even I can't do that and I've been a PC user for 14 years. leave that to the experts on the malware forum. They'll read your log-file and advise you further.

If you have a XP CD, you can boot the Recovery Console and use the expand command to extract it from the CD to the hard drive. It's \I386\LSASRV.DL_ on the CD. Enter expand /? for usage info.

See here for RC instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;EN-US;314058

A copy should also be in C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache so you could copy it from there to C:\WINDOWS\system32.
