XP Wont Shut Down Properly (2)

Windows Xp Media Ed.
AMD Athlon Xp 3500+
200Gb Hardrive
1.0Gb RAM

For some reason my Computer wont shut down properly. When i am going to shut down the computer stays at the Windows is shutting down scrren for a long time, what could be the reason for this? :blink: I have to then shut down computer manually

Try disabling "Clear Page File On Shutdown" in the registry, as it can take a seemingly long time to clear.

If Page File is the culprit, download a prog that will kill it upon reboot...then do a sfc /scannow before shutting it down again...run a test...
