I am having issue with sharing my media from my PC to my Xbox 360. I have tried a variety of solutions and have found that when I look on my router's (Linksys WRT54G) settings in the DHCP Active IP Table, it is not showing my Xbox there. I recently replace an older Linksys router (can't remember the model) with this newer one that a friend had upgraded from and I always remember seeing the Xbox showing up on that table. When I look on my Xbox's settings, it is only showing an IP address and no Subnet Mask or Gateway (meaning that they are both 0.0.0.0). I believe on the old router these would always show up so I'm pretty sure from that and my slowly growing knowledge of networking that this is not right. Does anybody know what is going on? Thanks in advance for the help!

When I look on my router's (Linksys WRT54G) settings in the DHCP Active IP Table, it is not showing my Xbox there. Is the 360 set up to use DHCP? Are the other computers in the network using DHCP? Are you looking at the "reserved addresses" DHCP list, or the 'Active Client' DHCP list? |
