Isn't tripod one of those "photo" sharing ones?

Havent been with them long but I have been really impressed with 5quidhost, which offers a good free package as well as upgrade options.

Just search eBay for web hosting.

I get unlimited everything for only £6 / year!

You just go on ebay and type in web hosting and it comes up with about 100 or more.

Then its the only one thats £5.95 exactly!

I would suggest to look for a paid host instead to make sure you should get good support and at least 99% uptime which is quite not possible with a free host.

I have never found a free webhosting service that was worth they advertising annoyance. They lack features, are slow, and most certainly do not add a professional look to a website. At the current time site I have created for customers are hosted on...

Fatcow - (6/10) An OK service if you dont need a ton of extras.
GoDaddy - (7/10) A good service but It has its very own very unique control panel that I find can be confusing at times.
Lunar Pages - (9/10) I have never had a complaint with Lunar Pages hosting. They use Cpanel as the Admin Control Panel which I prefer to all the others.

For what it's worth, I just discovered that you can host pages on Google if you have a gmail account. See http://pages.google.com - I believe there are no ads, but I don't know about features. Good for personal page or two, probably not for a full blown site.
