Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-in...=post&id=142443

1. Unzip/extract the files inside to a folder on your desktop.
2. Open the folder and run FindIt's.bat and wait for notepad to open a text file. It will take awhile so please be patient ...
3. Then post the results here please, along with the new HijackThis log.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked. If you have Windows XP, the search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders', and 'Search subfolders' are checked.

For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep).

Reboot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key until menu shows up. In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work. Make sure to close any open browsers.

Delete this file -> C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Go to Start->Run and type in cmd and hit OK. Then type in the following (hit Enter after each line):

cd windows
nail.exe /FullRemove
exit

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. While in the Registry Editor, navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete aurora

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete Bolger

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ and delete BolgerDll.BolgerDllObj

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ and delete {302A3240-4805-4a34-97D7-1645A0B08410}

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\ and delete {BB0D5ADC-028D-4185-9288-722DDCE2C757}

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\ and delete {92DAF5C1-2135-4E0C-B7A0-259ABFCD3904}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon Driver and delete DrPMon.dll

If any of the above registry keys are giving you problems deleting, right click on them and click on Permissions. Then click on the Advanced button. Make sure the first box (Inherit from parent...) is checked. Click OK and OK. Then try deleting the entry again. Once you're done, close the Registry Editor.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Reboot into Normal Mode run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here.

thanks. i had the following problems while folowing your directions

1. i could not delete nail.exe without it coming back. somehow even in safe mode
2. typing "cd windows" in the cmd screen gave the this response "The system cannot fine the path sepcified"
3. there was BolgerDll.BolgerDllObj and BolgerDll.BolgerDllObj1 in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\, so i deleted them both
4. i could not find this HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ and delete {302A3240-4805-4a34-97D7-1645A0B08410}
5. i could not find DrPMon.dll in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon Driver, but it was in ControlSet003 and i deleted it there

i also wanted to mention that i have had microsoft spyware pop up quite a few times telling me it's blocking/removing bolger. and ewido security suite keeps telling me something called "bbuxetjbln.exe" is running or trying to run almost every time i open this site

Post another FindIt's log and also the following two logs:

Download FindQoologic-Narrator.zip at http://forums.net-in...=post&id=134981 and save it to your Desktop. Create a new folder on your desktop (right click and select New->Folder) and call it FindQoologic. Now unzip the file contents of that zip file into that folder. Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it. Wait until a text file opens and post that in your next reply.

Download DllCompare http://www.greyknigh.../DllCompare.exe and run it. Click on the 'Locate.com' button. Wait a few seconds and then click on the 'Compare' button. Let it run, then click on 'Make a log of what was found'. Post that log here. Note: If you are having problems using DllCompare (16 bit error), copy autoexec.nt from the C:\WINDOWS\repair folder to C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder. Now try running DllCompare.

How about this one?

If that won't work either, try posting these logs and we'll see if any other files can be found:

Download and install CleanUp http://cleanup.stevengould.org/
Download KillBox http://www.atribune....ads/KillBox.exe
Download rkfiles http://skads.org/special/rkfiles.zip and unzip the contents to a new folder on your desktop.

Download the remv3.zip at http://forums.skads....hp?showtopic=80 (look for the attachment posted in that second reply). Make a new folder on the root drive C:\ and unzip remv3.zip files into it.

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also.

Run CleanUp program now and logoff.

REBOOT TO SAFE MODE. These tools MUST be run in safe mode!
Once in safe mode, double click rkfiles.bat file to run it. It will scan for a while, so please be patient. Wait until the DOS window closes. Open the C:\log.txt it created and rename it log1.txt.

Now open the folder where you saved remv3.zip files and double click the rem.bat file and let it run. It will delete the files and remove the infection and then make a log of the files it finds. The log file will be C:\log.txt and bad1.txt

**Note** Each tool uses log.txt as it’s output file so make sure you save the entries from one tools log before running the other as it will overwrite the file if you don’t.

Reboot back to normal mode and post the contents of both the log.txt and log1.txt in your next post.

now you have totally lost me. that link you posted worked, and i ran the uninstaller, but i'm still getting the bolger and bbuxetjbln.exe showing up. since the first thing worked i didn't do everything following it since you started the next section with "If that won't work either..." here are the logs you asked for in your previous post

Sorry about the confusion. What I meant to say was that if that uninstaller link I gave you didn't work (meaning either the link does not take you anywhere or if it runs but the popups are still coming back), then run those programs I mentioned. OK, since you gave me a new log already, let's work on those now. So after you do the below and restart, if you still get anything blocked. If you do, I want you to run those programs I mentioned earlier.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download KillBox http://www.greyknigh...spy/KillBox.exe. Don't run it yet.

Reboot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key until menu shows up. In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work. Make sure to close any open browsers.

Go to Start->Run and type in cmd and hit OK. Then type in the following (hit Enter after each line):

cd windows
nail.exe /FullRemove
exit

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. While in the Registry Editor, navigate to:

If any of the above registry keys are giving you problems deleting, right click on them and click on Permissions. Then click on the Advanced button. Make sure the first box (Inherit from parent...) is checked. Click OK and OK. Then try deleting the entry again. Once you're done, close the Registry Editor.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

ok, i followed the steps in post #12, but when i restarted nail.exe was still showing in hjt. so i went back and did the second set of things you asked me to do in post #10. i haven't had a pop-up in awhile, bit i did have to block some ip from adding itself to my trusted sites when i restarted just now. anhyhow, here are the logs

The Temp folders should be cleaned out periodically as installation programs and hijack programs leave a lot of junk there. Download CleanUp! http://cleanup.stevengould.org/ (Alternate Link if main link don't work - http://www.greyknigh...spy/Cleanup.exe ) and install it. Don't run it yet.

Run KillBox and check the box that says 'End Explorer Shell While Killing File'. Next click on 'Delete on Reboot'. For each of the following files below, check the box that says 'Unregister .dll Before Deleting' if it's not grayed out. Copy and paste each of the following into KillBox (hitting the X button for each file - choose NO when it asks if you want to reboot):

C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Run CleanUp! and click on CleanUp! button. When it asks you if you want to logoff, click on Yes.

You should clear out the files in the Prefetch folder. Go to C:\Windows\ or C:\WINNT\ and look for the Prefetch folder. Open it up and delete all the files in that folder.

Reboot into Normal Mode run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here.

i followed your directions and when i rebooted to normal mode i had a few weird warnings pop up. one of them said that nail.exe could not be located. i searched for it and found it, then i right clicked on it and chose "scan with ewido." after that was done i ran hjt and here is the log:
