anyone know how to save old CDR disks

hi
I am new here,
does anyone one have a program that I can download or get for save you know the CDR disks.
When you buy a CDR disk and burn something by mistake on it and now its no good.
How can you reformat that disk like the CDRW.
Does anyone know or is it a waste of a good disk.

Unfortunatly CD-r's can't be erased and therefore can't be re-written again!

You don't. CD-Rs are not reusable. Anyway reusing them for the cheapness of a brand new pack isn't really worth it.

They do make lovely drinks coasters though.

Or there are many other uses for them. Due to their shiny surface on the data sided (and the label side in some cases) I'm sure they would make nice decorations somewhere in your house.

Actually there was no pun intended.
The commonly-accepted term for a disk that's been badly burnt or is unusable has come to be known as a coaster. The classic answer to what do you do with a badly burnt CD is use it as a Frisbee.
