I apologize up front if I miss any information!

I have a Dell running Windows XP. I have recently had to reinstall Windows. I am trying to install service pack 2 and I get an error during installation that says something to the effect that drivers\atapi.sys in use by another program.

I've done a search and read things like disable/uninstall daemon tools or alcohol. The problem is I have no idea what these things are or how to go about removing/disabling them.

Can anyone help me?
