cannot load remote access connection manager service error 711, & icwconnl.exe general error

OS: windows 2000 professional



network and dial up connections can not load the remote access connection manager service. error 711 : the remote access service manager could mnot start additional information in provided in the event log.
AND
Internet connection wizard could not configure your computer to connect to the internet youi must manually set up your own tcp/ip protocols,dial-up networking, or other dial-out device

please help my computer is nothing fancy , and i do have a internet provider helpsmilie.gif

How are you connecting? THrough a nother PC using internet connection sharing? It sounds like that is how you are trying to do it, but there is not another PC with ICS enabled.
