compaq presario laptop trouble (HELP!)

OS: Windows XP



ok well i just got my laptop back from repairs to the power adaptor and the first time i turn on my laptop all goes well...... but then it started freezing so i rebooted it... well all i got was a black screen then 2 minutes later i get this message "Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Please report this problwm as : load needed DLLs for kernel." has anyone had this problem before or knows how to fix it.... helpsmilie.gif
