Anyway, I've been reading other threads on this site and its been suggested that it could be because of a specific program running at the time of the freeze, but for me this cant be the case because sometimes it freezes before I have even loaded a program. Also I've done virus checks etc, which are up to date, and no viruses are detected. So while I've looked over this site people have been advised to get a log from Hijack This, so that is what I have done, which is below.....if anyone can help I would very much appreciate it...thanx! Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 13:21:13, on 22/04/2005 Platform: Windows XP SP1 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106) Running processes: C:\WINXP\System32\smss.exe C:\WINXP\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINXP\system32\services.exe C:\WINXP\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINXP\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINXP\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINXP\Explorer.EXE C:\WINXP\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgamsvr.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc.exe C:\WINXP\System32\cisvc.exe C:\WINXP\System32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINXP\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINXP\System32\GSICON.EXE C:\WINXP\System32\dslagent.exe C:\Program Files\MSN Apps\Updater\01.02.3000.1001\en-us\msnappau.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgcc.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgemc.exe C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zlclient.exe C:\WINXP\StartupMonitor.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\WINXP\System32\ZoneLabs\vsmon.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen Sargent\Desktop\HijackThis.exe C:\WINXP\System32\wuauclt.exe R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com O2 - BHO: Yahoo!
