Ermm.. not sure what caused it though.. Still, you still have one stubborn entry.. Please restart your computer in Safe Mode.. Navigate below website if you do not know how.. http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm In Safe Mode, please re-open HijackThis and click on Do a system scan only. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below. O18 - Filter hijack: text/html - {2AB289AE-4B90-4281-B2AE-1F4BB034B647} - C:\Program Files\RXToolBar\sfcont.dll Now close all windows other than HijackThis, then click Fix checked. Close HijackThis. C:\Program Files\RXToolBar *NEXT* The steps that I am about to suggest involve modifying the registry. Modfying the registry can be dangerous so we will make a backup of the registry first. Modification of the registry can be EXTREMELY dangerous if you do not know exactly what you are doing so follow the steps that are listed below EXACTLY. if you cannot perform some of these steps or if you have ANY questions please ask BEFORE proceeding. Backing Up Your Registry Go Here and download ERUNT (ERUNT (Emergency Recovery Utility NT) is a free program that allows you to keep a complete backup of your registry and restore it when needed.) Install ERUNT by following the prompts (use the default install settings but say no to the portion that asks you to add ERUNT* to the start-up folder, if you like you can enable this option later)* Start ERUNT (either by double clicking on the desktop icon or choosing to start the program at the end of the setup) Choose a location for the backup (the default location is C:\WINDOWS\ERDNT which is acceptable). Make sure that at least the first two check boxes are ticked Press OK Press YES to create the folder. For detailed instruction on how to back-up registry via ERUNT, please visit HERE *NEXT* Please copy and paste the following into a Notepad CODE REGEDIT4 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{2AB289AE-4B90-4281-B2AE-1F4BB034B647}] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Filter\text/html] "CLSID"="" Save it in desktop as Fix.reg and in Save as type: choose All Files A new registry file will then created on your desktop. Double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator") Click on the CleanUp! button A list of tool components used in the Cleanup of malware will be downloaded. If your Firewall or Real Time protection attempts to block OtMoveit2 to reach the Internet, please allow the application to do so. Click Yes to begin the Cleanup process and remove these components, including this application. You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. *NEXT* Please Install/Update Sun Java Updating Java: Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs. Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... ) It should have next icon next to it: Select it and click Remove. This will uninstall the previous (outdated) version of Java. Then Download and install the newest version from here: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 6 *NEXT* Let's clean your Restore Points and set a new one: Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs from changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous Restore Points which are likely to be infected) To create a new Restore Point. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Check Turn off System Restore. Click Apply, and then click OK. This will flush your old System Restore. Then please UNCHECK the Turn off System Restore. Click again on Apply, and then click OK. This will create a new Restore Point System Restore will now be active again If you are using Windows Vista, please go HERE for tutorial on how to use, disable and enable System Restore *NEXT* I noticed that you already have: 1. AVG8 as your antivirus 2. Malwarebytes' as your antispyware... However, I haven't seen any third-party firewall in your logs.. Do you have any? If you don't, please install ONLY ONE of these free and excellent firewall below: Comodo Firewall Pro PC Tools Firewall Plus After you install the third party firewall, please disable your Windows firewall. Please go to My Computer >> Control Panel >> Windows Firewall and choose Off (not recommended) option. Then please click Apply and Ok.
