Hello
We have a Dell 700, 4 years old. It is starting to lock up and it can be going into email or CNNor etc.We have to reboot. We did not have this problem with other providers, and this one is really fast, maybe too fast for our computer. I put CCleaner and that didn't help much.
A real Pain

Hi dakotapicker...

Did this start happening right after you changed providers or show up kinda gradually? Does the problem accur if you use a different browser such as Firefox or is it limited to Internet Explorer?

When was the last time you ran System Tools (Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, Disk Defragmenter) on the machine?

I use Netscape 7.1,
I also use Norton Systemsworks. It goes through a clean-up weekly.
CCleaner used daily
It started slowly and now it can lock up in email or CNN or any other place.

Please download and run HiJackThis. Save a log and attach it to your next reply for me...this will help me get some idea of what's running on the machine.

No, I'm sorry...I didn't. Would you please resend it? I think I inadvertantly unsubscribed to the topic, too. :whistling:

That's probably the problem. Do you have a zip program like WinZip? If not, there is a link in my signature (bottom of each post) for FreeZip. Download and install that, then zip the report and attach it either here or to an e-mail.
