With my new computer, I am really going to try and it clean of junk. On a weekly basis I plan to clean out the following:
c:\windows\temp
c:\documents and settings\user name\local settings\temp
c:\documents and settings\user name\local settings\temporary internet files
c:\documents and settings\user name\cookies

Is there any other files or folders I could delete on a weekly basis?

Is there an easy way to delete these or do I have to into each individual folder?

Hi,

Might want to check out CCleaner.

http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.php

CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a freeware system optimization tool. That removes unused and temporary files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster, more efficiently and giving you more hard disk space. The best part is that it's fast! (normally taking less that a second to run) and Free. :tazz:

I was wondering about files like .tmp, or *.chk, *.bak etc... these types of files. Is there a program that deletes these types of files for you automatically?
