 Question here as I'm not sure. My iMac has an ethernet port that no longer works so I want to get a wireless usb adapter to get the internet. I however, see bluetooth usb adapters but none that are NOT bluetooth related. Question is, my router is NOT a bluetooth device, so... if I were to get a usb adapter that was bluetooth, would I be able to connect to my non bluetooth wireless router? I really want the internet on my iMac, so my only other option is to get a wireless usb adapter. BUT, there's bluetooth and non bluetooth and I am really confused as to what would happen. Do you have a wireless router, or wireless access point that can connect you to the internet?
If so, then there is no need for bluetooth. There you can just get a usb to wireless card and be all set. Depends on what you use to connect to the internet. |

Yes I have a wireless router with a wireless access point. So if I went with a bluetooth one, I'd have problems. I need to get one with 802.11 g standards as the same as my router then?

Exactly. Get a g usb wireless card and you should be all set.
