If you can see any files on it with the Mac it is probably a permissions problem. Use the Windows machine to set liberal permissions. If you can't see the files on it you may need to install software that will let you work with that type of file system to the Mac.

The problem you have there is indeed most likely a permissions problem, having had this myself when I first connected my usb-drive to my mac the way to solve is like Tyger said. Connect it to an XP machine and set the permission for the user "Everyone" to "All" and you should be ok to use the drive on your MAC.

Use a USB key or DVD if you can, otherwise reformat the drive on the mac (which will destroy all your data) use this formate for your mac and MacDrive to read the disc on you PC.
