I work for a small/midsized law firm and after being screwed by CDW one too many times, I am looking for a decent place to order my computers, pieces and parts and electronics for the office from. If anyone has any suggestions or nightmare stories to tell I would love to hear them. Thanks.

Hi there,

In the US http://www.newegg.com is a very good place to shop.

In Canada you can find http://www.tigerdirect.ca/ and http://www.ncix.com/

All of these stores have very good reputations and should be worth taking a look at.

I always buy my stuff from http://www.ncix.com/ and they have for most of the produt next day delevery. but if need cables, video or networking devices... the best prices I found was http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp, shipping is slow, but price is verry good.

I agree with newegg. Their prices always seem good to me, they are super fast shippers and the customer service is excellent. http://www.buy.com is also pretty decent, never had a problem with them either.

To research companies, I always go to www.resellerratings. com first and then www.my3cents.com. I may not always find the ideal company but I know which ones to avoid. The first computer I purchased was from Envision Company and I was suitably impressed that I recommended them to friends. So far five other people are happy with their purchase experience and the computer.

A couple years ago I bought a Lenovo from the online site. Now, running into trouble with malware, I called the help number. I was connected to Atlanta - not India. A tech who spoke plain simple English was very patient and basically told me I could ship the computer to them and they would set it right or he would work with me "right now" to do it.

I followed his advice and now my computer is like new and running smoothly. I feel that this type of support
merits a good word to anyone seriously interested in a new laptop.

Tigerdirect is fine
Zipzoomfly is fine
