hello all, ive recently had a problem with my girlfriends laptop, it has shut down when i switch on it gets to the windows page and the reboots after that in asks if i want to run windows with 30 seconds next to it to except, the error code is 0x00000024, wich i have looked up on the net and more or less know what needs to be done, so i have opend the recovery console and chhosen to repair then i have chosen c/windows system now it is asking me for the admin password which low and behold my lovely girlfriend has forgotton! any ideas how i can carry on repairing the system and by passing the password or extracting the passwrod so i can carry on. any help would be much appriciated cheers

See if you can get it to look in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
