I tried to post a message regarding a win32 error a few days ago and have not heard anything. I'm trying to be patient as your site asks, but am not sure if I've done something wrong and that is why I'm not getting a response......I see many other posts that have gotten a response within the same day even.
Can someone help me with this problem? As soon as I log on to my computer the generic host process win32 error comes up, then within a few minutes I get a similar error for Internet Explorer and it closes or sometimes it is for Windows Explorer and eveything on my computer closes, the screen goes blank, flashes a couple times and then acts like it is re-loading again. It is very odd, nothing I've ever experienced before. I followed all the steps on your malware page, running all your suggested programs and scans 2 and 3 times now. I've rebooted, run them in safe mode, I don't know what else to do. Here is the HJT log as instructed Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 8:18:41 PM, on 4/28/2005 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgamsvr.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\AccessDirect\dadapp.exe C:\Program Files\2Wire\Gateway\2PortalMon.exe C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\SHSTAT.EXE C:\Program Files\Network Associates\Common Framework\UpdaterUI.exe C:\Program Files\Roxio\Easy CD Creator 5\DirectCD\DirectCD.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Network Associates\TalkBack\TBMon.exe C:\Program Files\Apoint\Apoint.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgcc.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgemc.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc.exe C:\Program Files\Citi Virtual Account Numbers\CitiVAN.exe C:\Program Files\MSN Apps\Updater\01.02.3000.1001\en-us\msnappau.exe C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\cvpnd.exe C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.Exe C:\Program Files\Webroot\Spy Sweeper\SpySweeper.exe C:\Program Files\Network Associates\Common Framework\FrameworkService.exe C:\Program Files\Apoint\Apntex.exe C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\Mcshield.exe C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\VsTskMgr.exe C:\PROGRA~1\NETWOR~1\COMMON~1\naPrdMgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\wltrysvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\bcmwltry.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\alg.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\dwwin.exe C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Susan\Desktop\HijackThis.exe R0 -
