Which is more likely to give a better picture on a flat screen LCD TV?

A card that has 128 Mb but has DVI out? Or a 256 Mb card with only VGA outputs??

DVI will always beat VGA for picture quality, but of course the monitor would have to be equipped with a DVI input. This is not a standard feature on all monitors yet, so check. Anyway, most DVI-output video cards usually have the standard VGA-connector as well, so if the monitor also has both you'll be able to test for yourself which is better. All it will cost you extra is the price of a DVI cable.

Another consideration if using as a PC monitor is, if it's widescreen, check the card has built-in settings to match the native widescreen resolution of the monitor.
Some cards, even with bags of memory to output high 4:3 ratio resolutions, don't necessarily offer you the native setting you actually need for the best picture quality on your WS monitor , esp. if it's a large one (19-inch or higher).

I have multiple TV's that have HDMI inputs so I can go from DVI to HDMI. So are you saying that even though the graphics card has 128 Mb less RAM, since it has a DVI output it will look better??

So is that true what pip22 said? 128MB DVI will be better than a 256MB VGA??
