having trouble with helpful start up tips

i am trying to get prepared to get rid of these things through your helpful tips/downloads but i am having troubles ... disk cleanup will no allow me to clean up one of my drives and now i am having trouble downloading the avg updates manually ... the reason i am downloading manually is because it is saying that there is an http: error but i dont seem to have any problems connecting to the internet on that computer? now i have all of the updates but dont know what program to run them with ?????

..... restarted the computer and on the second try avg downloaded updates!!!! now i am going to try and restart and then dick cleanup ....
