having trouble with powrprof.dll, Help needed

OS: Windows XP home
Hi all

I am having trouble running the game Gears of War (PC not 360 of course). I completed a full installation and now when i try to play it it throws up a Startup.exe error. This error reads: This application has failed to start because POWRPROF.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may mix this problem.
Well no, it seems re-installing the app doesn't fix the problem (surprise surpise, thanks microsoft tongue.gif )
I have also tryed downloading the file but it tells me that the game cannot run because an unmodified powrprof.dll is needed.
If you guys could help me out i would be most appreciative (i hate buying new games and comming home to find they dont work!)
