OS: xp

Background
PC1 is main cp\omputer connected to router and DSL
PC2 is secondary computer connected hard wired to router.
They are on same home netwwork , can share files and printers as normal

Moved PC1 to another location closer to Xbox so Xbox can be hard wired to router instead of wireless
PC2 is now connected via a cable to a wirelwess adapter
PC2 can see internet with no problems

Problem
PC1 nor PC2 can see each other on the home network as they used to.
I even tried disabling firewalls, this did not help.
I even tried recreateing the home network using network setup routine, this did not help.

I can see the home network and my PC - just cant see the other PC.

an ideas on what to try next?
thanks in advance.....

Hi Budrow

Step 1 is to back track. Can you wire pc2 with a long cable to test ?
If not on both pc's - What I put in blue you type what is in red is what you press.
Click start>all programs>accessories>comand prompt.
At the prompt that appears(black screen) type in ipconfig enter.
Please let me know what the ip subnet and gateway are.
Disconnect the xbox.
Right click on my computer > properties> double check that both computers are on the same workgroup.
Also since you are now wireless on pc2 is your router set for MAC filtering ?

Cheers
Peterm
