how do i determine what RAM i'm using?, buying new RAM to fit into my DELL pc

hi i want to buy another 512 ram for my pentium 4 DELL pc. but im afraid of buying the wrong brand and worried that both will be uncompatible. how do i make sure im buying the right RAM for my PC and they will work together w/o any conflict?

my pc is currently

Intel®
Pentium® 4 CPU 2.80 GHz
2.79GHz, 512 MB of RAM
pls help urgent!

More than likely you are running DDR ram. Here is a website that shows the differences between types or ram.

Kingston has a configurator that finds compatable ram.

CPU-Z shows that you have DDR400 memory. DDR400 and PC3200 both mean the same kind of memory. I have never found DELL to be that picky about memory so just about any memory on sale at the local stores that is DDR400( PC3200) memory should be good.
