Personally i think it is overkill for a 4X agp. If you have the money to spend then do it. I find very little difference between a FX5200 card and a 6600 card in a H-P vectra i have. Heres a good article on video cards.

I don't think it's so much the bandwidth of the slot, but your computer's processor is quite slow so the gpu will always be idle sitting around waiting for the CPU to do its work. I agree on saving money by getting a card such as the FX5200. However if you're going to be playing any game from the past few years you should look into a new comp instead.
