I have an Averatec 6200 laptop w/ a 7 pin round port & a printer/monitor port & am wanting to connect to watch DVD's on my TV. Someone told me to just get a printer/monitor cable w/ RCA's for the TV, but CNET says that's a misconception & you have to buy a converter. My TV has RCA + S Video ports. Is there a SIMPLE way of doing this?

Get one like that. Plug it into your computer and into your TV. If you have a TV connector like my laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-FJ57GP. If you do not have one, go to a shop and get one.

Thanks Kelvin, but that looks like RCA connectors & my computer doesn't have RCA ports, just the 7 pin round & monitor.
