check that the first boot device in your system BIOS is set to the CD-ROM Drive. ( To find out how to access the BIOS please refer to your motherboard manual or the manufacturer of your Laptop. (The system bios can usually be entered on boot, usually by pressing the F1 or F10 or DEL key for a Dell Make sure you save the settings before exiting)) Once the PC boots to the XP Disk the setup should start. |

yeah i tried that then it says diskette 0 seek failure
no boot sector on hard disk - strike f1 to retry boot,f2 for setup utility i think i need a media cable because the cable i got i think its reading the cd drive as a floppy drive but thanks for your help desiredfx |
