You are trying to make a duplicate of runescape thats offline?

You all think that it is so easy to make, a computer game like runescape... over 100 people helped build runescape, and it still took them like 2 years, you need to start at the basics like game editor, then slowly make your way up to make bigger games. You probaley need about 5 years expiernce before you can even make, a flash trailer of a game like runescape.

This is inappropriate, and has been removed. We will not help you learn to "hack" something here.

if anyone is intrested I have been sitting on my hands for awhile with a project like this, I am new to programing but not dumb I useally can acoplish tasks that most new people can't so this would be a perfect chance to jump in and learn, knowlege and learning are fun things, anyways off that topic if anyone would like to help me I am sure we can collect some people, even if we have to make a beta version thats only 2d it is still a start. I have some friends that I am sure would love to jump into a project like this, if anyone is intrested email me at Removed e-mail address , or PM me, or even post here fastest way to get ahold of me isby emailing me. but as I said I would love to start something like this, we would be using java and if tht doesn't work then we will swich to C or C++ and if we can't get it done in that, we will find something simpler. and if tht doesn't work... they I will feel like a complete fool for starting this, but as I said, drop me a email and stuff. also if we did get something like this made I am a very good web design so we could always mae a web site for a free download [also we are not going to call it runescape due to copyrights etc. lets just take no risks please lol]

Hey soulsword, before you make yoru own game you are going to need experience in the field... You could try joining a team of developers for a free game like Planeshift... I suggest trying to get on a developing team, if Planeshift won't take you try another one from a list of games like runescape.

Actually, Runescape is Java-based. C and C++ require the client to be downloaded permanently to your system.
Runescape doesn't. If you need anything else, I should be able to help; I'm also in the process of making a Runescape-like game.
