how to overclock what i have

i have a compaq presario sr1500nx... i have put 2 512mb ram chips in it, an agp 128mb radeon 9100 .. it has an amd 3000+ 333mhz.... the board is an asus a7x8v la (socket a). and i have upgraded the case to a bcc 712 4hlw bk..... from all the forums i have read, most say you cannot over clock an hp or a compaq.. i havent found anything helpfull so far so i figured i would ask and give my specs.... if you need any info i will try my best to get it.... any advice would be helpful... thanks
