hey guys, i have a Sony VAIO laptop, and i was wondering how you turn off the box for "sign in and enter your password" before you get to windows. not the "sign-in screen", i've already turned that off. there's 1 user, no guests and no one else uses the computer so it's pretty pointless to have the sign-in/password box. currently, there's no password, you just hit enter and it goes to my desktop. thanks in advance! |

start run type "control userpasswords2" select the user then clear the users must enter a password box.go back to star-run and type in "control userpasswords", click on change the way users log on and uncheck both use the welcome screen and fast user switching boxes
