I love this site just to tell you guys right off the bat. You guys explain tech stuff easily so even untech savy people can understand and thats great! You can help with like 99/100 of things. Well I go to many of forums, like gaming forums and stuff and you know, as in here, we have image signatures. Some will advertise a person's site or forum or something and if you click the signature it will take you there. Does Geeks To Go have anything like that? I can put that image in my signatures in other forums to advertise you guys. If not, are they any hard to make or anything? Just a thought. |

I think there are GTG images (along with the code for them) somewhere on the website, I just can't look for them right now.
Keep in mind the sites Terms of Use. Most sites (at least the ones I go on) only allow at most a simple text link to other websites. For example, here the policy is QUOTE(Terms of Use) • If linking to another tech site the resource must not be available on Geeks to Go through either the Support Forums or the rest of the site, and the link must be relevant to the members question. • A simple text link to a personal site is okay, as long as it meets our normal family friendly, and safe surfing guidelines. You must own or be closely associated with the site. No banners, referral links, etc. This means that if I were to put a link in my signiture, it would have to be something like My Website -Ryan |

The sites I belong to will allow what I want. Just I have to have it reviewed by the admins of the forums.

http://www.geekstogo.com/articles.php?action=show&id=5\ it has the code for several options. You will have to put it into BBcode format if the forum doesn't support html -Ryan |

the html is
CODE <a href="http://www.geekstogo.com"><img src="http://www.geekstogo.com/banners/geekstogo-88x31.gif" width="88" height="31" border="0" alt="Free Computer Help - Geeks To Go" /></a> the only things you need out of that is the "a href" and the "img src" the BBcode would be CODE [url=http://www.geekstogo.com][img]http://www.geekstogo.com/banners/geekstogo-88x31.gif[/img][/url] that would show ![]() "a href" = url, and "img src" = img -Ryan This post has been edited by rmurphy: Dec 13 2005, 06:44 PM |
