I am having a problem where iexplorer.exe shows up a lot in the process menu as I am trying to play a game, it is taking up a lot of ram. During this time internet explorer will not run, as soon as I end the processes, i start up internet explorer and it opens up just fine.

There is no legit iexplorer.exe. It's either iexplore.exe, or explorer.exe. All other letter combinations are suspicious.

After double checking what you have wrote you are correct. It is Iexplore.exe not Iexplorer. Please forgive me for giving the wrong information.

Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key) - hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties") - security programs in use (antivirus, firewall) Download Process Explorer: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb896653.aspx Unzip ProcessExplorer.zip, and double click on procexp.exe to run the program. Click on View > Select Colunms. In addition to already pre-selected options, make sure, the Command Line is selected, and press OK. Go File>Save As, and save the report as Procexp.txt. Attach the file to your next reply. |

File is attached, however, this was right after I had to restart my computer so you won't see all the iexplore.exe things. I will post another one after it starts happening again.

so your saying that the iexplore.exe that shows up about 30 times is not unusual? I mean I have nothing running besides the World of Warcraft game. That is all I have running when I run the program. that causes a lot of lag in the game of world of warcraft and also I can't open Internet explorer when I want to until I end the iexplore processes after hitting cntr alt delete. After I close all of them, then internet explorer will open.

Yeah...I'm not sure, why I didn't pay attention to it...
