I have something in my computer. Everything is getting messed up. There is a new hidden folder in the documents library which is shared in limewire. I had the same problem before. I used cleanup and Ad-aware so far but it just keeps messing up. Can you identify somehow whitch downloaded files are infected?
Here is the Hijacker log:

* Click here to download Brute Force Uninstaller (bfu.zip) and save it to your C:\ drive.
  • Next you must unzip the bfu.zip file to its own folder on C:\ so that the path to it is C:\BFU.
  • The file path must be C:\BFU for the removal to work.
* Next download the alcanshorty.bfu script and save it to the C:\BFU folder.
  • RIGHT-CLICK HERE and choose "Save As" (in Internet Explorer it's "Save Target As") to download alcanshorty.bfu.
  • Save it in the C:\BFU folder you made earlier
  • Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking the BFU.exe in the C:\BFU folder.
  • In the scriptline to execute copy and paste this line:

    c:\bfu\alcanshorty.bfu

  • Press execute and let it run.
  • Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
  • Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

* Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here.
  • Install ewido.
  • During the installation, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
  • Launch ewido
  • It will prompt you to update click the OK button and it will go to the main screen
  • On the left side of the main screen click update
  • Click on Start and let it update.
  • DO NOT run a scan yet. You will do that later in safe mode.
* Click here for info on how to boot to safe mode if you don't already know how.

* Now copy these instructions to notepad and save them to your desktop. You will need them to refer to in safe mode.

* Restart your computer into safe mode now. Perform the following steps in safe mode:

* Run Ewido:
  • Click on scanner
  • Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK
  • When the scan is finished, look at the bottom of the screen and click the Save report button.
  • Save the report to your desktop

* Restart back into Windows normally now.

* Come back here and post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

Old canned with Cleanup:

*Download Cleanup from here
  • Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
  • Click the Options... button on the right.
  • Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
  • Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
    • Empty Recycle Bins
    • Delete Cookies
    • Cleanup! All Users
    Click OK
  • DO NOT RUN IT YET

* Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here.

If you had continued with the help you were being offered here you would have been all set by now:

http://www.geekstogo...opic=100526&hl=

Why did you not followup there?

I have a few things to point out to you. First of all, we all volunteer our free time here to help people. All we ask is that you followup on your topics until it is all finished up and we have given you the all clear and provided you with info on how to prevent this crap. If you leave your topics hanging like that the helpers are not going to want to help you next time around.

Also, using p2p apps like Limewire are a major source of these infections that we deal with here. That is exactly where you got this one. As long as you continue to use it to download your music and software illegally, you are going to get this kind of crap. You are also aiding in the spread of this malware literally around the world. Do your computer, the rest of the world and your moral consience a favor and stop using them.

I'll help you now, but I want your assurance that you are going to stick with me here until all this crap is cleaned up. Otherwise, I'll not waste any more of my time.

IMPORTANT!: I see that you do not have an antivirus running or a firewall. If I may so this without being rude, with the net as it is these days it is quite foolish to be without an antivirus and a firewall. By all means get both ASAP!. See this thread for some good free ones.

Hey FLRMAN

You are probably going to be disappointed on me again but i thought that you got pissed on me, because there was no reply for a long time. So after all i just simply reinstalled my Windows. I am learning this whole virus and spam and other s... like that. I think i am going to take your advice about the dangers of filesharing. The problem is my kids are big music fans with not enough money in their pockets. surrender.gif

After this i learned another lesson and i know a little more about this whole crap.

One more time thank you for your help and sorry if i was not fair to you.

I would like to help financially because this site is definitely helps on a lot of 'geeks' just like me and this whole spyware, adware, virus thing is killing the little folks, who are not supposed to be. Well, at least this is an opinion by a little folk. smile.gif

I would like to donate some money but once again i have no credit card and i do not think there is another way to do it. If i am wrong, please tell me.

If there is anything you want me to do tell me.

Best wishes and thank you
