Welcome to GTG.

Do you want a forum like the one we have here (not exactly the same, but similar)?

I wouldn't suggest doing this if you are still very new to web design. OK, maybe you can still give it a go. Do you have any experience with PHP and databases? A forum like this usually requires at least some basic knowledge of these.

So do you have a messageboard right now? What is it if you don't mind me asking? You have to put the files in the root folder in your web server. I think that should make it the main webpage once someone types in your site.

I assume this is a domain you registered and not a free one right?

Here is a list of Free Message Boards/Forums.
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but if you are talking about a shoutbox, then you'll need a host and mySQL database.

Also include SMF. I like it, very easy to use, nice looking & very customizable. I use it for my own website & it was very simple to throw together.

Simple Machines is in my opinion currently the best free forum software available. As a bonus, if your host has cPanel w/Fantastico, you can install it with one click.

Fantastico is a great tool for installing many popular web applications to your web space: http://netenberg.com/fantastico.php
