Alright, I have no idea what is going on and maybe some of you guys could help me out:

Well, I cleaned out my computer to make space for memory and crap like that, right? I also used Spybot and Adaware to clean out all my crap messing up the comp. See, I was all happy and everything because I thought my computer would be spic and span now.

Wrong.

Everything is running great and all that crap EXCEPT for the internet. Whenever I scroll down a page or something like that, it moves very slowly and the whole page becomes glitchy and then it is back to normal after I finish scrolling. I checked my FireFox settings and my IE settings and there was nothing wrong. What's even more weird is the fact that everything else on my computer rolls smoothly as far as scrolling goes and I am confused as heck.

Can anyone help?

Hi Quanta and I'm sorry to hear about your problem.

I strongly suspect you still have spyware/malware issues.
you say

What's even more weird is the fact that everything else on my computer rolls smoothly as far as scrolling goes

So that it seems to only effect your browsers.

First, look at the advice we give here and follow every step. Especially Step 5 where you will be asked to post a hijack this log.

Second, you say

Well, I cleaned out my computer to make space

what exactly did you do? Did you use some program and if so which? Did you delete files or folders yourself if so which?

I also used Spybot and Adaware to clean out all my crap messing up the comp

Spybot and adaware are great programs but there are new problems every day as well as variations of old, so it's possible they weren't enough to fix all your problems.

If you still have the problem after the rest of the malware is cleaned from your system post again.

I used the add/remove programs option and I deleted some old folders through my local disk. I deleted some old acrobat programs, I deleted some old graphic editing programs, like one for my scanner which was broken anyways, a photo retouching program from HP. . .I deleted all I could from Internet Explorer because I have FireFox now. But now there are a few files from IE, that whenever I sent them to the recycle bin, they reapearred. . .and I'll follow the steps right now.

well that all sounds harmless enough.

I deleted all I could from Internet Explorer because I have FireFox now. But now there are a few files from IE, that whenever I sent them to the recycle bin, they reapearred

Windows makes it hard to delete some things, like the dreaded Index.dat files. Anyway even if you do, windows recreates them on the next boot. That's nothing to worry about.

You may want to consider a program like CleanUp to help you keep your system clean. just a thought.

I haven't finished with the ewido part of the proccess, but it seems that internet is becoming even slower, as in it's not just the scrolling anymore. It's with typing, it'll freeze and then finish what I had typed, switching between windows is slow and exiting is slow.

If you can let it finish that scan and go ahead to step 5 and post a HJT log. :tazz:

Hi again Quanta

I looked at your log and I see multiple infections. Cool web search among them You need to repost in the malware section, see http://www.geekstogo...o_Here-f37.html.

Post a new topic there and post your hijack this log there. Also post a link th this thread
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Slow_n_Glitchy-t30141.html
. Malware removal experts will help you there. Geek U students aren't allowed. Be patient HJT Logs are complex to analyse and you seem to have multiple problems.

Sorry for the bad news
